In June 2025 RSCJ in England and Wales joined with RSCJ in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Malta and Scotland to form a new Province - Central Europe and the Islands (CEI). And Saturday 28th March will be a joyful and historic day for our new Province, as Zsófia Trásy makes her First Vows in Budapest, in a Mass at Holy Family parish, beginning at 11am CET (10am GMT).

We can assure Zsófi of our prayer, and of the love of her sisters across CEI and beyond, as she commits herself wholeheartedly to our life and mission, and begins this new stage in her journey with God.

After at least four years of initial formation, all RSCJ make vows of poverty, obedience and chastity, and we also commit ourselves to the service of education. The Church asks all religious to initially make their vows temporarily, even if their deepest desire is to say "forever" right from the start, and so Zsófi will make her ‘first vows’ for three years, to be renewed until she can apply for and begin the process of preparation for perpetual vows.

The Mass (mostly in Hungarian) will be livestreamed via the parish's YouTube - go to https://www.youtube.com/@zugligetiszentcsalad6408/streams

And if you would like to pray with Zsófi, the readings she has chosen are:

Isaiah 55: 8-13

Psalm 40

Romans 12: 9-18

and Matthew 13: 44

May Zsófi be the first of many First Vows in CEI!
